Memory loss and the phone

A patient memory,
a phone call away

When a parent starts forgetting appointments, names and details, the phone can be both a lifeline and a worry. Bruno gives them a patient assistant they can call any time, for as long as it suits them.

Built for “I forgot, can you tell me again?”

Bruno is an AI assistant, not a medical device: he doesn't diagnose, treat or monitor anything. What he does is simple and steady. He calls back with reminders, keeps the details they want kept, and answers the same question as many times as they ask.

Reminders that call back

Your parent tells Bruno what to remember and when, in their own words, and he calls them at that time. How phone reminders work.

“Remind me at ten that the plumber's coming.” At 10:00, Bruno calls with the reminder.

Ask again. And again.

Bruno remembers what your parent tells him: the doctor's name, the date of a visit, where the spare key is. They can ask as often as they like, and he answers the same way every time, without a sigh.

“Bruno, when is my eye appointment?” “You told me it's Thursday at two, with Dr. Okafor.”

Help with the calls they miss

When a call goes unanswered, Bruno picks up, talks to the caller and takes a message, always with their safety in mind. Trusted callers, like their doctor, are reconnected after Bruno checks their name and number. You get a summary and transcript by email, so a missed call from the pharmacy doesn't stay missed.

Is it the right fit?

Bruno works best for someone who can still make a phone call and say what they need. If memory loss is advanced, talk with their doctor about the care and support that fits. Bruno can still help with missed calls, but he isn't a replacement for care.

Questions

What people ask

Is Bruno a medical device or a dementia care service?
No. Bruno is an AI phone assistant. He gives the reminders your parent asks for and remembers what they tell him, but he doesn't diagnose, treat or monitor any condition, and he doesn't track whether medication was taken.
What if my parent forgets they set a reminder?
That's fine. Bruno calls at the time they asked for and gives the reminder in plain words, so they don't need to remember setting it.
Can I set reminders for them?
Reminders come from your parent, by talking to Bruno. That's on purpose: Bruno is their assistant, and they stay in charge of what he remembers for them.
What does my parent have to learn?
Just Bruno's phone number. There's no app, no password and no buttons. Setup is about five minutes on your end, plus one short carrier code on their phone, about 30 seconds.
